Update from your Parish Council
We are pleased to announce that we will be providing monthly updates in the newsletter that is printed monthly and available from the Library, to keep residents informed about the projects and improvements taking place across the village.

These updates will give a clear view of our work, and we invite the community to share their thoughts and ideas.
In January, work will begin on replacing the fencing at the front of the Orchard, next to St John’s of Jerusalem, opposite Dairy Close. This central area has been somewhat under-utilised, and we feel it deserves some attention as a focal point of Sutton-at-Hone. The land is leased from the National Trust, and we are also exploring the installation of new benches, the possible planting of additional fruit trees, and seeking expert advice on caring for the existing orchard trees.
We also plan to replace the older play equipment at Jubilee Field, behind the school, and will be sharing some shortlisted designs with the children at Sutton-at-Hone Primary to hear their views. In addition, there are plans for improvements by the river at Parsonage – more details to follow in the new year!
Work will begin in January on a new website that will fully meet accessibility requirements. This is also part of our wider commitment to transparency and keeping our residents informed. We will shortly be closing the Facebook group after regaining access to our original Parish Council Facebook page so please make sure you request to ‘follow’ the official page for all the latest news: (1) Facebook
