Parish Council Apology

The Councillors of Sutton at Hone and Hawley Parish Council would like to apologise for the lack of consistent service for the last year.

The Councillors of Sutton at Hone and Hawley Parish Council would like to apologise for the lack of consistent service for the last year.

We are aware it has been very frustrating for those of you trying to get in contact with the Parish Council, as the Parish phone number and email have often been unavailable, and we do not now have an office for people to visit.

Since October last year, we have been working with Kent Police following an allegation of fraud, and as part of the investigation, various equipment has been seized, meaning we have had limited access to key information and restricted access to areas including banking.

We’ve tried to set up new points of contact and are trying hard to ensure these are effective and efficient, but we know we are falling short.

Our clerk’s email address is [email protected] for general enquiries.

For St John’s Church cemetery information, the email is [email protected]

You can also leave a written message addressed to SAHPC at the post box at Hawley Pavilion, or at SAH Library.

As soon as we have a Parish phone number, we will advertise this.

Please be aware councillors are not paid for our time, and we are doing as much as we can alongside our full time jobs and family commitments.

However, we are hoping shortly to increase our clerk staff team to give you a more efficient service.
